Video content is King when it comes to social marketing, Facebook live, YouTube and now even Instagram on the band wagon with Insta TV, so it’s never been more important to be delivering to your clients via video if you want to be seen and heard.

To position yourself as an expert in your field you need to show up authentically online, deliver great value and get your message your heard, so that clients connect with you.

YouTube is still the second largest search engine after Google and a top dog for consuming video content.

So here are 5 reasons you should start using YouTube now: 1. Having lots of Subscribers help build your credibility and allow you to position yourself as an expert in your industry. If you’re a TV Presenter looking to get more work in the industry and have a large following on YouTube this may work in your advantage at castings. Also many production companies look for Talent on social media platforms like YouTube. One of our TV Presenters was recently approached by a production via YouTube.

2. Videos tend be more intimate and are often the best way to demonstrate concepts that are not easily explained writing. This is why “how to” videos are great for YouTube they are also one of the most searched for. If you have a solution to someones problem people will always find your videos.

3. You can attract a new audience and build a new community online. In fact according to Omnocore Agency a recent study showed that 60% of people prefer video platforms to live Television and by 2025 it’s predicted that 50% of viewers under 35 will not subscribe to paid TV!

4. You can become an influencer or micro influencer. Once you have built your following and brand, you can get the opportunity to work with brands as an ambassador. You don’t have to pitch or sell your products or services in the videos. You simply discuss a topic or problem related to your field you are the expert in. Companies will then choose your video’s to run adverts on which can make you a lot of money when you know how to do it.

5. Video Ads are cheaper than text Ad’s on Google if you’re using them for your business. YouTube videos are a relatively inexpensive way to market your business.
